What To Expect From NESCAFÉ Basement 5!
The promo looks promising!
Just when we thought it’s over, bamm! NESCAFÉ Basement is back with a new season. Known for providing a platform to aspiring musicians and young artists, we are definitely excited to see what’s in store for us this time. Producer Zulfiqar ‘Xulfi’ Jabbar has managed to keep audiences hooked again with a mix of traditional and contemporary tunes. The promo and introductory song Jaagna Toh Parega was unveiled a few days ago and as you can see it is bursting with young energy. So, once again we can expect a lot of new musicians all set to showcase their talent on stage.
Here’s the promo of season 5:
The new season will feature 73 young artists that are recruited and mentored by producer Xulfi. The show is known for its covers and many artists in the past have been appreciated for their personal renditions of popular songs such as Larri Adda by Sajjad Ali and Love Me Again By John Newman. Major throwback as we listen to this unique rendition of Backstreet Boys’ Larger than Life.
While Coke Studio has its own strengths, Nescafe Basement stands out because it focuses on showcasing new talent. Moreover, it aims to find a balance between contemporary and traditional melodies which is just what we need. Keeping in mind all these factors, this show is definitely going to be one to watch out for! The season kicks off Feb 1st, so let’s wait and watch if it’s worth raving over.
