All teams were in action in the midweek fixtures of the Barclays Premier League. A total of 21 goals were seen, out of which some were absolute stunners. If you missed the action, worry not. Here we’ll recap all of the action.

West Ham register victory against struggling Aston Villa

West Ham United secured a well fought win against struggling Aston Villa at the Boleyn Ground. The away side didn’t get a very good start to their name as striker Jordan Ayew got a straight for his tackle in the fifteenth minute of the game. Two minutes from the hoy Mark M. Antonio opened the scoring for the home side with well placed header as he was neatly found by playmaker Mark Noble. The game was done and dusted when C. Kouyate scored five minutes from time. Leicester City flying high

Leicester City remain at the top of the table of the Barclays Premier League as they registered a victory against Liverpool. Jamie Vardy’s scintillating volley opened the scoring on the hour mark. He again scored in the 71st minute to double the advantage for the Foxes. Full time Leicester City 2-0 Liverpool.

Manchester City pull through as Aguero scores

Sergio Aguero’s sole strike on the sixteeth minute mark was enough to seal a lacklustre victory from the away side at the Stadium Of Light.

In other news regarding the away side, a managerial change is done as the juggernaut Pep Giordiola will replace Chilean Manuel Pelligrini at the end of the season.

Tottenham cement position in the top 4

Harry Kane and company secured another victory as they beat Norwich City by a margin of three goals. Midfield sensation Delle Alli opened the scoring for Spurs in the sixth minute. Harry Kane found the net two times for the away side in the 30th and in the 90th minute. The latter goal was assisted by Christian Eriksen. Manchester United secure all three points at home

Jesse Lingaard, Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney were all on the scoresheet as Manchester United secure all three points at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney has now scored 7 goals in 7 games for the Red Devils.

West Brom, Swansea share points

Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson opened the scoring four minute after the hour mark. Solomon Rondon came to the rescue for the home side as he scored late in the 90th minute to secure a draw. Full time at West Brom 1-1 Swansea City.

Bournemouth move up the table with a win at Selhurst Park

AFC Bournemouth came from a goal down to beat Crystal Palace by two goals to one. Scott Dann scored the only goal for the home side. C.Pugh and B.Adobe scored in the 34th and 57th minute to secure a well fought victory. Full time score at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace 1-2 AFC Bournemouth.

Everton register victory at home

Everton triumphed at Goodison Park with a three goal victory over Newcastle United. Aaron Lennon opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. Ross Barkley scored two penalties in the 88th and 90th minute respectively.
