Nachos
Nachos are a Mexican snack made with tortilla chips, tomato salsa and cheese that is popular in restaurants across Pakistan. This recipe has a spicy beef mince with sour cream as well. Serve hot after the cheese has melted.
Beef Qeema
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 200 gram beef mince
- ½ teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Salsa
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 green chilies
- 1 cup coriander
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
- Salt & pepper
- Sour Cream
- 200 ml cream
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Tortilla Chips
- Cheese – 150 grams
For the Beef Mince:
- Heat oil in a frying pan.
- Saute onion till translucent and then add the beef mince.
- Cook the meat for 2-3 minutes and then add coriander powder, red chili powder and salt.
- Stir well, and then cook till the beef is tender.
- Set aside.
For the Salsa:
- Place tomatoes, onion, green chilies, coriander, lemon juice and chili garlic sauce in the blender.
- Blend till chunky salsa is formed.
- Season with salt & pepper.
- Set aside.
For the Sour Cream:
- Add lemon juice to cream, and let sit for about 10 minutes in the fridge.
- Sour cream is ready.
For Assembling the Nachos:
- Place tortilla chips at the bottom of the dish.
- Top with beef mince, salsa, sour cream and cheese.
- Repeat the same step, ending with grated cheese.
- Bake for about 10 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 180 C till cheese is melted.
- Serve hot.
