Incensed by his pregnant wife’s inability to make the food he requested, the father of three children threw a kettle full of boiling hot tea on his wife, burning her terribly. 28 year old Sharifa, who is 9 months pregnant, was unable to make the requested meal of daal due to a lack of supplies in the house. Terribly burnt and injured, she was rushed to Chandka Hospital Larkana. The perpetrator of the crime has not been arrested yet. This incident took place in the village of Dost Ali Bangla, district Qambar. Doctors at the Chandka Hospital have labeled Sharifa’s condition as critical, considering that up to 25% of her body has been severely affected by the attack Domestic violence.
