The confrontation took place on the Jang Shahi Haleji link road near Haleji the dacoits had already committed the robbery and were trying to make their getaway when the police accosted them. Firing ensued from the dacoits’ side which led to the martyrdom of police officer Abdul Shakoor Soomro. The dacoits managed to flee the scene and escaped. Police have launched a search around the area to catch the dacoits.
