Tharparker: Condition Worsens

Due to an acute lack of rainfall, Thar has been hit by severe famine-like conditions. Another child lost her life in Mithi due to starvation. In the past 5 weeks, the death toll has increased to 45 as more and more children continue to suffer from malnutrition and starvation. The famine in Tharparker shows no signs of diminishing in intensity.

Most of the deceased were newborn babies.
