Research: Dieting Itself Does Not Lead to Weight Loss
In a new research, it has been distinguished that dieting only is not the best possible way of losing weight, as human body cannot distinguish between dieting and possible starvation.
When one consumes fewer calories, human metabolism increases its energy efficiency and weight loss is resisted. The study works on an earlier study that showed how altering KATP protein causes skeletal muscles to become less efficient and burn more calories. In the new study, researcher used vivo-morpholino compound, which decreased the development of KATP. This may enable to fight obesity and work in effective weight loss, though further research is need.
