A Steering Committee was organized at the PM House which was attended by the chief ministers of all 4 provinces, the minister of Azad Kashmir, along with several other notable dignitaries. The PM Nawaz Sharif said that every child in Pakistan was a treasure, and he could not bear to see any of them suffer from the debilitating effects of the disease. He said that Pakistan has faced numerous hurdles in its efforts to carry out the anti-polio vaccination campaigns in all regions. However, he felt that it was the responsibility of the entire nation as a whole, to combat this disease.
