The Polio Eradication campaign that was to be held in Peshawar on Sunday was cancelled.The campaign did not take place on Sunday in Peshawar or any other union council.
According to the Health Department, as per new policy the campaign would be held only twice a month. It has been decided to postpone the campaign in Peshawar and Bannu till the end of February. 185,000 children in 55 sensitive union councils of the city would be given drops whereas 55,000 children would be injected with vaccines.
According to sources the Polio eradication campaign in the province would start once again on 16th February 2015.
