9 newborn babies passed away due to the unavailability of adequate oxygen supply. All 9 babies were on ventilators. According to the families of the victims, the staff at this private hospital located in Korangi (Karachi) compelled parents to agree to put their babies on ventilators in order to earn extra money. One set of parents vehemently refused to agree to the staff’s suggestion and they claim that their child is alive today because of their refusal to comply with the hospital’s wishes.
