To prevent the proliferation of polio, action plan has been made to establish vaccination centers across the Balochistan-Afghanistan border. Meetings were held between representatives of the Departments of Health from both Balochistan and Afghanistan, and the situation was discussed keeping the guidelines provided by the World Health Organization in mind. Previous reports have indicated that despite the presence of vaccination centers at least 30% of children remain unvaccinated. It is hoped that these statistics will improve with the new action plan.
