TB vaccines amounting to 40 lakh, provided by UNICEF, have reached Pakistan and are being distributed in provinces on emergency bases.
UNICEF has provided 40 lakh vaccines for eradicating TB from Pakistan. These BCG vaccines are being sent to the provinces on emergency basis. 2 lakh vaccines to KPK and 2 lakh vaccines to Sindh have already been sent, while 7 lakh to Punjab and 50 thousand to Balochistan will be sent on 27th February 2015. The Federal government already had a reserve of 19 thousand vaccines. These vaccines are provided to infants.
