According to the Department of Health FATA, the campaign will cover 7 tribal agencies and other surrounding areas. Up to 714,000 children will receive polio vaccinations. This is the first anti-polio campaign that will reach out to IDPs in the area. According to updated reports, 2400 teams have been appointed to carry out this task. Unfortunately, children in South Waziristan (estimated to be 100,000 in number), will not be able to receive the vaccination due to the volatile law and order situation in the region.
