Will Koffee With Karan’s Season Finale Be It’s Saving Grace?
We're hoping the conversation goes beyond their love lives and men!
Promising fans the beginning of season 6 of his talk show with major ‘Girl Power’, Koffee with Karan didn’t quite live up to our expectations with the conversation between Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt mostly revolving around men and their dating stories. However, the season finale is bringing yet another power-packed female duo, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Kareena Kapoor Khan together on the couch.
This particular episode would be interesting to watch because the two stars were reportedly not on good terms since they did a movie together. The two co-starred in 2004 film Aitraaz, made seemingly controversial comments about each other on Karan Johar’s show in the previous season. In 2010, Kareena appeared on the show with her better half, Saif Ali Khan and while talking about Priyanka, she said, “Where does she get that accent from?”
Two episodes later, Priyanka sat on the Koffee couch with Shahid Kapoor (Kareena’s ex-boyfriend) and when Karan Johar told her about Kareena’s comment, she replied: “The same place where her boyfriend gets it from.”
But Kareena’s comments about Priyanka were much warmer in last season of Koffee With Karan where she credited her Don co-star for representing India on a global platform like never before. The two have been all praises for each other off late and have been trying to turn over a new leaf.
Most of all, we would want to see two powerful and talented women come together and represent women in a positive light. Without a doubt, we’ll be cheering for both if the conversation goes beyond just the superficialities and their love affairs. The world definitely needs something more…
