Over no regularization and insufficient salary issues, lady health workers from all over the province staged a demonstration. The protest was held in front of the Punjab Assembly on Monday. They blocked traffic for six hours on Mall Road. They also held signs asking about their salaries in written.
Lady Health Workers association Lahore President told the media that they would continue their protest if their problem was not solved. Noreen Bibi said that we still haven’t received a notification regarding the regularization of our services. Despite the fact that last year the Supreme Court had passed an order for salary regularization in Punjab. She further said the Health Department should be ashamed as it has done nothing to formulate a service structure for Lady Health Workers yet.
LHW Programmer Coordinator Akhtar Rashid told Health TV on the occasion of Punjab Assembly session that the Health Department had regularized all lady health workers and their respective services. He further said that they have submitted a report in the court in this regard.
