Home Remedies for Anal Fissure


Any tear or crack in and around the anal tissues are known as anal fissures and they can be a lot of trouble and pain. It can cause bleeding, itching, and pain which can be troublesome. But some effective home remedies will give you relief and will soothe your pain without any side effects.

Aloe Vera Gel

Take some fresh aloe vera gel, mix it with some olive oil and apply the paste directly to the affected area and let it dry. Apply the paste 3 to 4 times a day. This will not only accelerate the healing process but also reduce the pain and bleeding.

Coconut Oil

Simply apply some pure coconut oil on your anal fissures, every day 2 to 3 times. It acts as a great lubricant and will also reduce any discomfort or pain.

Olive Oil & Honey

Mix one tablespoon of olive oil with an equal amount of honey and apply it to the affected area. Leave it for 2 hours and then wash it off with cold water. This paste will remove any itchiness and pain.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is known to cure constipation and the digestive system. In a glass of water, mix a spoon of raw apple cider vinegar with a spoon of honey and consume it daily for effective results.


Flax seeds help ease straining during bowel movements. Mix a tablespoon of flaxseed powder in a glass of warm water. Drink this before bed to regulate your bowel movement.
