5 Refreshing Drinks to Make this Summer

All, one really thinks about, on a hot summer evening, is chillers and slush. A big glass of mint lemonade or a juice after doing a number of laps in a swimming pool sounds like heaven. We often have ingredients available at our home, but we are either too lazy to make a nice refreshing drink or we have no idea how to make, so let me share a few simple recipes. They are easy to save time and might tempt all the lazy people to get out of bed and make a refreshing summer drinks for themselves.

1. Vietnamese Iced Coffee

It sounds hard, but it is one of the yummiest recipes you can make to pull off your day. Simply,

  • Pour 3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk over ice and stir in one cup cooled strong coffee and you are done.

Coffee is usually considered unhealthy for our body, but then again, excess of everything is unhealthy. Avoid drinking hot coffee in summers, because I am sure you don’t want zits all over your face. It is the season for beautiful summer dresses after all.

2. Guava Green Tea

Another refreshing summer drink, guava green tea is refreshing and healthy at the same time. So, everyone who has been looking out for ways to burn off some of those love handles, here is a way.

  • Pour equal parts of guava juice and green tea over ice. Garnish it with lemon to make it look tempting just the way fancy restaurants do. Enjoy!

3. Chocolate-cherry Shake

Now this sounds yum! Chocolate is the best thing on earth, so why not add it in our drinks too.

  • Pour one cup softened vanilla ice cream
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ cup frozen cherries
  • and your favorite 8 chocolate wafers.

I am sure the kids are going to love this. You can also add Oreo biscuit and top it with whipped cream, sprinkled with cinnamon powder all over the cream.

4. Cucumber Water

We all know that cucumber is healthy for our body and keeps our body from getting dehydrated as it contains a lot of water content. Combine,

  • 1 gallon ice water
  • 1 sliced lemon
  • ½ sliced cucumber and chill.

This drink is also used as a detox water. It improves skin and saves you from the heat wave as well.

5. Mint Lemonade

How can one forget the most refreshing summer drink of all. Every house has this on the table for iftar and when the electricity starts playing hide and seek with us making it difficult to beat the heat of the summers. Every house has a different recipe. Some people like it in its simple form and some like it fancy.

  • Crush some mint leaves
  • Add 1 lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ¼ tablespoon salt in a glass of chilled water.

Also add white soda and black salt if you please. This is more refreshing and easiest drink to make than any other drinks.

We all try to stay at home and avoid the heat waves. Sun strokes can be fatal and thus, one should be extremely careful. Keep your body hydrated with these refreshing summer drinks and perform your daily activities without getting dehydrated.
