Step 3. Prepare Bibliography Cards

Use note cards to record notes about each source you use when writing your essay. List your annotation cards to keep their track.

Step 5. Prepare a Scheme

Prepare an outline for your essay by organizing the notes of your annotation cards on topics, subtopics, details, and sub-details. Outline is the backbone of your essay.


Step 6. Make a Draft

Use your annotation and outline cards to write a draft of your essay. As you write your draft, use numbered footnotes to credit the sources from which you took quotes or main ideas.

Step 7. Check Your Draft

Make any required changes to ensure that your ideas are clearly expressed and your writing has correct grammar and spelling. Errors in the use of language structures can degrade the quality of the essay in an instant.


Step 8. Prepare Your Bibliography
