World Health Organization (W.H.O) Puts International Travel Restrictions On Pakistan
Based on Pakistan’s inability to curb the spread of polio, the W.H.O has decided finalized its decision to put international travel restrictions on the country. Along with Pakistan, four other countries (namely Ethiopia, Israel, Cameroon and Afghanistan) have also been bound by travel restrictions. The official announcement by W.H.O’s Deputy D.G. Dr. Bross stated that Pakistanis traveling abroad must take an oral vaccination for polio 4 weeks prior to travel. In lieu of the recent restrictions, the Government of Pakistan has decided that contingency measures must be taken immediately.
