Former Pakistan coach Waqar Younis is relishing the fact that former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq is being considered for an illustrious post by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The stout and powerful Inzamam is being rumoured to be appointed as the Head of the Selection Committee. After the disastrous Asia Cup and World Cup T20, Pakistan Cricket Board has looked upon the bizzare situation and is looking to make amends.

After the departure of Waqar Younis, the post of the Head Coach is still vacant. For that particular chair, the Australian Dean Jones – who also coached the PSL Champions Islamabad United earlier this year – is being heavily considered. Mohsin Hassan Khan is also being taken into consideration by the board.

Inzamam-ul-Haq, currently is serving as the head coach of the Afghanistan Cricket Team, has a contract agreement till 2017. It is said that the former batsman is looking into the matter, but no confirmations have been made.

Pakistan’s next big assignment is a tour to England before which, the PCB is looking to assign a proper team management.

Former Pakistan team coach is glad with the fact that former teammate, Inzamam-ul-Haq, has been appointed chief selector of Pakistan by the Pakistan Cricket Board.
