Security forces have strongly advised the residents of Eidik to relocate to safer areas given the agenda to kick start the operation’s second phase Zarb-E-Azb.
According to Tariq Hayat Khan, who serves as the additional secretary of Wazarat Saifran, an estimated 30,000 additional IDPs will reach Bannu in the coming few days.
The IDPs will undergo a registration process at Sayyad-Gai. Reports say that the government has, up till now, spent 2.8 billion rupees on the welfare of the IDPs. Out of the 10 lakh registered IDPs NADRA has verified 5 lakh 73 thousand.
