In the past 24 hours, 7 new cases of dengue have been diagnosed and admitted for treatment in the Lahore General Hospital and Family Hospital Rawalpindi. The patients have been identified as 22 year old Asad, 35 year old Omar, 17 year old Khadeeja, 23 year old Kamran, 13 year old Shahwaiz, 65 year old Rafiq, and 30 year old Nauman. This has raised the cumulative total to 118 dengue cases in the province since the beginning of the year. Officials state that all treatment options are being utilized to curb the disease and preventative measures are being evaluated for high-risk areas.
