Patients Suffer As Elevator In Civil Hospital Remains Non-Operational
The elevator of the surgical building has been non-operational since Sunday, causing unnecessary anxiety and pain to the patients and their caretakers. The caretakers have had to carry the patients on their shoulders or on stretchers from one ward to the next. Most caretakers have had to carry the patients all over the building multiple times for various tests and other procedures. This is not the first time the elevator has stopped functioning in the surgical building. In fact, according to the patients and their caretakers, the lift had been declared fit for use just a few days back. The recent closure of the lift has caused mass chaos and it is imperative for the management to take notice and get the elevator fixed and operational as quickly as possible.
