Dengue Alert – Dengue continues to pester as seven more cases were discovered in Punjab bringing the total amount of people affected to 400. The amount of affected people in Punjab continues to mount as 6 from the seven patients are from Lahore and one belonging to Rawalpindi.
Dengue fever is a viral infection that causes muscle and joint pain, headache, rash, swollen lymph nodes, and sever exhaustion. As of yet, there is no antibiotic or specific medicine to treat the disease. Dengue is treated by symptomatic treatment i.e. treatment aims to provide relief from the symptoms.
Prevention of the disease require eradication or control of the virus carrying mosquitoes.
