Pakistan, India, Indonesia and countless other countries around the world expressed their solidarity with the people of Palestine, and offered prayers for their safety and security. Thousands of Muslims participated in Eid congregations across Asia: Masjid Istaqlal in Indonesia was the site of the largest Eid congregation in the country; a 5000 year old mosque in Beijing hosted innumerable Muslims who had gathered there for Eid prayers; Jamia Masjid in India was the site of the largest Eid congregation in the country. Food stalls were set up outside the mosques to share the spirit and joy of Eid with the Muslim brotherhood.
