Asifa Bhutto-Zardari has made it her mission to provide the residents of Lyari more medical facilities. Asifa is Sindh government’s ambassador for polio, and recently visited Lyari Hospital (LGH) to check the various health facilities that are or are not available to the patients.

She has also tasked herself to initiate a patient’s welfare society at the hospital for those patients who are underprivileged and cannot pay for hospital expenses.
Throughout her tour of the different wards, she spoke to different patients, discussed their health, treatments and if they were being treated the right by the doctors of the hospital.

Children of Lyari are suffering from malnutrition, and during her visit, Asifa was concerned with the fact that most of the children were admitted due to this.
The issues arising with the health facilities and requirements of the hospital were discussed with Asifa by the hospital’s management.

The youngest of Benazir Bhutto’s children was earlier rumored to take an active role in the party’s activities, and this could perhaps be a step to Asifa’s formal induction to politics.
