Heart-Pounding And Dreadful Fashion Moments From Golden Globes 2019

Here we are again with our eyes glued to the screens as Golden Globes commence and stars unveil their outfits on the red carpet. From stuff straight out of nightmares to dramatic, dreamy and oh so perfect looks, here’s what made it to our best, ‘could have done better’ and style catastrophes.

DAMN GIRL!

Woah, did these ladies nail it or what!

This is what we call edgy with the right amount of chic, Julia Roberts in a tulle dress paired with pants by Stella Mccartney.

We’d agree, this woman can look good in almost anything, but even better when she is dressed in a jaw-dropping emerald green gown with a thigh-high slit, designed by Elie Saab.

Gone Girl star Rosamund Pike turned up the heat in this basic black number with a sparkly jacket designed by Givenchy. Her look is proof that the right fit and body-complimenting silhouettes make all the difference and of course the right add-ons.

Dressed in classic monochrome look by Dior, Charlize Theron manages to wow again with minimal but statement-worthy accessories. Effortlessly chic!

There is something so edgy about showing up in an all animal print ensemble on a red carpet. But then again Anne Hathaway is known for that and we’re here for it. She effortlessly pulls off this print on print look designed by Elie Saab.

Major crushing on Rachel Weisz in this super elegant outfit by Celine and Cartier jewels. We love the minimalist yet classy look constituting a ruffled top and sleek black body of the dress. Love love it!

NOT QUITE THERE!

Looks we were impressed but not that impressed with!

The sparkly affair is good on the red carpet but not with styles that have been done to death and bring nothing new to the occasion. Keri Rusell dons a disco-inspired number by Monique Lhuillier and fails to impress us.

Oh Amy Adams, you can do so much better with all that gorgeousness! The actress wore a basic and needless to say boring, Calvin Klein dress looking a little too bland for our taste. What’s even more disappointing is her choice of accessories. Yawn!

Our forever girl crush, Emma Stone is a usual head-turner with her on point looks on the red carpet but this time we didn’t quite feel her look by Louis Vuitton because look at it, it fits her poorly. Also the silhouette of the dress does nothing for her – a total nay for us, although we love you Emma!

There is something so wrong with this dress by Micheal Kors, definitely the wrong choice for the very classy Nicole Kidman. The only saving grace was probably her trendy disco ball clutch – even her hair and make up are antiquated and boring. Disappointing to say the least!

Would it be a crime to say that we’re sick of princess-y and fairy tale inspired fashion now? If yes, we do not mean to offend you because we really are sick of this trend and believe it needs to stay away from red carpets for a while at least. Hence, this boring, done to death Cinderella reminiscent look on Lady Gaga was a clear miss for us.

SWEETY, WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

Um, we expected so much more from these ladies and their outrageous fashion choices made us legit question their personal style!

Not much of a starry eyed suprise we expected from this powerhouse of an actor, Melissa McCarthy. We have a strong feeling she let her kids pick out her outfit of the night (not that we mean to diss her kids); but she really should have gone easy on that Disney element.

This one makes us want to ditch velvet for some time. Elsie Fisher went all velvet everything on the red carpet in a suit combo by Kenzo. Although we like her edgy hair and stand out makeup but the look in itself does nothing for her youthful persona.

Traditional done horribly wrong, Dakota Fanning opts for a custom Armani Prive gown that makes her look her twice her age. We expected something more daring, edgy and stand out from her. Again, these Cinderella vibes need to go off the red carpet. Can’t reiterate that enough.

Sequins, glitter and poofy gowns, can we get past these styles? Penelope Cruz in this typical Ralph & Russo gown is capable of so much more, given the goddess she usually is on the red carpet. Take two please!

We love you Debra Messing but that is one feathery mess (croak!)

Jessica Chastain you have our heart but did you really have to go for this drab of an outfit! From slaying in black to RIP fashion in black. So old-school it hurts our eyes.
