Pakistan all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez has been allowed to bowl by the ICC. His reformed bowling action was tested in an ICC-accredited facility in Chennai on April 9th, the results for which were only obtained recently. Hafeez was banned from bowling in December last year after he was called from the first Test against New Zealand held in Abu Dhabi. The Professor also missed this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup due to a calf injury which he sustained during a training session before the second Test against New Zealand.

“At the retests it was revealed that the amount of extension in the off spinner’s bowling action for the deliveries bowled were within the 15-degree level of tolerance,” said an ICC Official.

Muhammad Hafeez will bowl in today’s ODI game against Bangladesh. Bangladesh has already won the series, after winning the first two matches comprehensively.
