Rubella Virus Sweeps Through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Pakistan is still caught in the throes of the measles virus, with efforts being made to ensure vaccinations are made available for all. Another virus similar to measles, called Rubella, has emerged recently in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has affected 5 children according to recent reports. 2 of the children are from Malakand, 1 from Kark, and 2 from Nowshero. Common symptoms of Rubella include fever, runny nose, headache, red spots on the face and neck, and incessant coughing. No plans to launch vaccinations for Rubella seem to underway.
