Popcorn Fried Chicken
Popcorn fried chicken is made with boneless chicken pieces that are marinated in spices, coated with bread crumbs and then fried. It’s a delicious snack that can be eaten with ketchup or chutney.
Ingredients:
- 400 grams boneless chicken
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- Salt, to taste
- ½ teaspoon red chili powder
- ½ teaspoon red chili flakes
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Oil, for frying
Method:
- Place the boneless chicken in a large bowl.
- Add salt, red chili powder, ginger garlic paste, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. Mix well and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Place bread crumbs in a bowl. Add salt, red chili powder and red chili flakes and mix together.
- Prepare the chicken for coating by placing marinated chicken in one bowl, 2 beaten eggs in another bowl and bread crumbs in the third bowl.
- Start coating the chicken by dipping in egg followed by the bread crumbs.
- Once all the chicken is coated, deep fry in hot oil till crispy and golden. Keep the flame medium so that the chicken can cook through, while not burning from outside.
- Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
