Variety of Pakoras to Make this Ramadan
The moment we hear the word Ramadan the first thing comes in our minds, without any doubt, is pakoras. Although it is a very harsh reality that we all Muslims are observing this precious month in the scorching heat, and one just can’t even think of eating any fried item in killing summers but since our childhood we are trained to eat pakoras in iftari, we don’t even care about the summers. Our fast is incomplete without pakoras and we actually wait all day to break our fasts as we get to eat those scrumptious pakoras.
We all are have been eating pakoras and we are very particular about the taste but today I am going to share some new and mouth watering recipes of pakoras that will actually turn your iftari into celebrations.
Vegetable Mix Pakoras

Ingredients:
- Potatoes (1 or 2)
- Carrots (3 small)
- Cabbage (half)
- Capsicum (2 small)
- Green chili (according to taste)
- Salt (according to taste)
- Chaat Masala
- Flour (baisan)
- Cumin (Zeera)
- Baking Soda
Preparation:
- Cut all the ingredients in Julian style.
- Make a smooth batter of flour with water and add all the spices.
- Add vegetables and mix it properly.
- In a pan heat oil.
- On a medium flame, deep fry vegetable pakoray.
- Serve it with green chatni or imli sauce.
Onion Cheese Pakoras

Ingredients:
- Onion (one big size)
- Cheese slices (3-4)
- flour (baisan/ corn flour)
- Egg (2)
- Bread crumbs
- Salt
- Chat masala
- Red chili
Preparation:
- Take an onion; peel off the outer cover and put small cuts in onion (do not cut it, just put small cuts).
2. Now add small pieces of cheese in each cut.
3. First, coat onion with flour, then dip it in egg, again coat it with flour and again dip it in again.
4. Finally, coat it with bread crumbs.
5. Deep fry it and serve it with mayonnaise.
Strip Chicken Pakoras

Ingredients:
- Chicken boneless (1/2 kg)
- Samosa patti (24)
- Flour (baisan)
- salt
- red chili
- green chili
- cumin
- chat masala
- yoghurt (1-2tsp)
Preparation:
- Cut samosa patti in the form of strips and keep them aside.
2. Marinate small chicken boneless pieces with all the spices (except flour) and leave it for half an hour.
3. Make a smooth batter of flour with water.
4. Dip each chicken piece first in flour batter and then coat it with samosa strips.
5. Keep these coat chicken piece in refrigerator for 5-10minutes so that everything gets attached properly.
6. Deep fry each chicken pakora and serve it with chatni or sauce.
We all Muslims are observing very long hour fasts, so make sure you take good care of your diet, keep yourself hydrated. On the other hand, we leave no efforts in decorating our tables with number of appetizing dishes but make sure you make the most of this most. Ramadan Kareem.
