Quick and Easy Desserts to Make this Eid

Eid is all about celebrations and family gatherings. All the lunch and dinner plans add a little excitement to your daily life, but the thing that makes it so special is good food. Your Eid goes incomplete if there is no homemade dessert. Following are a few quick and easy desserts that you can try out this Eid.

Bread Kunafa

Ingredients:

Sugar Syrup:

Method:

  1. Grind the bread slices to make bread crumbs.
  2. Mix butter with the bread slices.
  3. Spread the melted butter over a pan and then place a layer of bread on it.
  4. Spread a layer of cream on the layer of bread and butter mixture.
  5. Sprinkle some shredded mozzarella cheese on top of it.
  6. Add the rest of the bread and butter mixture on top.
  7. Bake it in the oven for nearly fifteen minutes at 180C or till the top layer turns golden.
  8. Sprinkle ground pistachios over it and a bit of sugar syrup.
  9. Serve hot.

Sugar Syrup:

  1. Place sugar with water and lemon juice in a pan.
  2. Let the sugar get dissolved on high heat.
  3. Once the sugar gets dissolved, let it simmer for 10 minutes on low heat.
  4. Add rose water to it once you turn off the flame.

Vermicelli with Condensed Milk

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Fry vermicelli in butter in a non-stick pan.
  2. Fry them till they change color to light brown.
  3. Boil the fresh milk in a separate pan.
  4. After bringing milk to boil, add sugar and stir it till it gets completely get dissolved.
  5. Add condensed milk, dried fruits, cardamom and vermicelli to the milk.
  6. Leave it on the stove till the vermicelli become soft and is completely cooked.
  7. Once it gets soft, take it out in a bowl and the garnish it with sliced almonds and pistachios.

Sheer Khurma

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Fry the vermicelli in a pan in butter till it changes color.
  2. Add sugar and mix well.
  3. Add the milk little by little and keep on stirring till the sugar gets dissolved completely.
  4. Stir in sugar, cardamom and raisins.
  5. Add all the ingredients except rose water and cream and then let it boil for a bit.
  6. Let it simmer on low heat after 10 minutes and then add cream and rosewater in one go.
  7. Reduce the mixture to your favorable consistency and then pour it into a bowl.
  8. Garnish with almonds and pistachios.
  9. Serve!
