10 Delicious Mango Recipes to Make this Season

People! The best thing about summers is back in town, MANGOES! Juicy and sweet, the king of fruits is loved and looked forward to by every single person out there. It’s the time of the year when all you see are mangoes here and there. So, what are you waiting for? Try out our new mango recipes and make a few of your own. Tell your kids to make their own recipes as per their taste. We have different varieties in mangoes, each one to be enjoyed in its own special way.

There are various ways you can use mangoes. Pickles, cake, ice cream, chatni and what not. Here are a few recipes that you certainly try at home.

1. Mango Kulfi Recipe

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Add saffron and milk to the pan and let it simmer on low flame for 15-18 minutes.
  2. Add sugar and stir it till dissolved
  3. Add the rice flour or corn that has been dissolved in 3 tbsp milk. Keep on stirring so that no lumps are formed.
  4. Cook on low flame till the mixture thickens and then switch off the flame.
  5. Add khoya and stir. Leave the mixture to cool.
  6. Add the mango puree, chopped pistachios and mix well.
  7. Pour the kulfi into kulfi molds. Freeze it for 8-10 hours.
  8. Serve it topped with pistachios, saffron and falooda. Enjoy!

2. Mango Almond Smoothie

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Peel and chop the mangoes.
  2. Crush the ilaichi.
  3. Add chopped mangoes, almonds, ilaichi, sugar and ice cubes to a blend and blend till smooth.
  4. Pour the smoothie into long glasses and top with mint leaves.

3. Mango Lassi

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Peel and chop the mangoes.
  2. Blend mangoes, sugar or honey and ilaichi powder.
  3. Add the chilled yoghurt, cream and some ice cubes.
  4. Blend again till smooth and garnish with mint.
  5. Serve in long glasses.

4. Mango Iced Tea

Ingredients:

  1. Peel, chop and blend the mangoes. Afterwards refrigerate.
  2. Heat water.
  3. Add black tea and stir.
  4. Leave it 5 minutes to seep in.
  5. Keep the strained tea in the fridge.
  6. Blend cold tea, mango puree, lemon juice and sugar till smooth.
  7. Serve the mango iced tea in glasses.

5. Mango Banana Milkshake

  1. Peel and chop the mangoes and bananas.
  2. Blend the bananas and mangoes.
  3. Add sugar and milk and ice cubes.
  4. Blend well till smooth.
  5. Serve mango banana milkshake topped with cashews and almonds immediately.

6. Mango Mousse

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Blend the mangoes, honey and vanilla essence.
  2. Add cream and blend till smooth.
  3. Serve mango mousse in glasses and chill the mousse in the refrigerator for 40 minutes.
  4. Garnish with chocolate shavings and dry fruits.

7. Raw Mango Panna

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Stream the raw mangoes in pressure cooker for 4 whistles till they become pulpy.
  2. Peel the mangoes and take out the pulp.
  3. Mix ilaichi, salt and sugar to the pulp.
  4. Blend the mixture till it becomes smooth.
  5. Store it in an air tight jar. Serve it with 1 tbsp. of preserve in each glass.
  6. Serve it cold by mixing ice cubes in it.

8. Green Mango Chutney

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Blend all the ingredients with a little water till it turns into a smooth paste.
  2. Serve mango chutney with dal and rice.

 

9. Mango Pickle

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Dice the mangoes and discard the seeds.
  2. Mix all the spices and spice powder with the mangoes
  3. Mix well and then leave it in sunlight for 4 days.
  4. Put the mangoes in a jar and pour mustard oil till it covers the mangoes till the top. Mix well.
  5. Store it for 3-4 days and then use it. It can be served with rice, daal and parathas.

 

10. Mango Pineapple Salsa

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Chop and dice the mangoes.
  2. Mix all the ingredients.
  3. Season with salt as per your taste.
  4. Serve with tortilla chips. It can be stored in an air tight jar and can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
