We often hear that we need to eat breakfast like a king, well, that is true, but only if we eat the right stuff. Many breakfasts we eat may seem filling but they are not at all healthy. Here are ten foods which will enable you to have a healthy day.

1. Eggs

Eggs are every household’s go to breakfast, toss a few eggs whether boiled, fried or even half fried sprinkle black pepper on them and you are good to go. However, eggs have many unique properties such as they steady the levels of sugar and helps in brain and liver function. Research also tells us that eggs prevent eye disorders and muscle aches. Eggs contain high protein and nutrients that are essential for the body and they have very few calories and helps curb our hunger during the next meal.

2. Yogurt

Yogurt is a creamy and delicious food that is rich in protein and also helps burn fat. It increases the metabolism in our bodies and increases a specific kind of hormone in our body that suggests fullness. It can be used with almost anything many people eat it as it is, others prefer to eat it as a topping. It aids in weight loss and helps fight against breast cancer according to research.

3. Oatmeal

If you are a cereal-lover then oatmeal might be your sweetheart. Oatmeal contains fiber which enables less cholesterol formation. Oats are also high in antioxidants and help us feel full. Flaxseeds or Alsi as it is known, are very healthy. They are rich in fiber and keep us feeling full for hours after a meal. They may also improve our insulin sensitivity and are effective in reducing sugar levels. Two tablespoons are enough for a healthy meal, but they cannot be consumed alone, they can be paired with yogurt, or even used in a smoothie to help increase your fiber levels and antioxidants.

A fantastic breakfast can be made with cottage cheese, its protein levels are very high which help increase our metabolism and decreases hunger hormones.
