Social Media and its Relation to Social Stresses and Personality

In the upcoming four researches, language on social media has been related to environmental and social stresses and personality disorders.

One research focuses on how computer allows large scale data sets to understand specific words like ‘my,’ which researchers have related with possessiveness. Another study suggests that it’s quite reliable to use words used on Facebook to asses one’s personality. A third study associates negative language used on twitter with higher heart risks and how it represents social and environmental stresses in society. Last study is in its early stage, which works on the use of emoticons to compare different societies.
