American boxer Floyd Mayweather looks to hang his gloves for good in September. He says that he’ll fight only one more fight after the duel with Manny Pacquiao which takes place on May, 2nd at the MGM Hotel in Las Vegas.
Floyd Mayweather still hasn’t lost in his professional career with a 47 matches unbeaten streak. While his opponent Manny Pacquiao has lost five and drawn two in his 57 fights in the squared circle.
Mayweather, 38 is currently the WBA and WBC Champion. He said that: “I don’t like it like I did once. My last fight is in September.”
Talking to the reporters after a training session,reporter’s he said: “He (Pacquiao) is a future hall-of-famer. I am a future hall-of-famer.”
He even emphasized on the fact that he thinks that the fun element is gone now from boxing, and he considers this sport more of a job now.
Amir Khan has expressed his valor to fight the undefeated Mayweather in the past and he’s very eager to fight now as well. Amir Khan faces former light-welter weight champion Chris Algiery on May, 30th. He will also be fighting compatriot and IBF Champion Kell Brook in the next year.
Ricky Hatton, the former two-weight champion says that Khan might trouble Mayweather if he is the last person that Mayweather will face in the last match of his career.
He added that: “Amir is boxing with a lot more discipline lately, he’s in and out and he’s not getting involved. I think that type of style will cause Floyd massive problems.
Mayweather last lost a professional fight to Oscar De La Hoya in May 2007.
The fight on May, 2nd is said to be one of the biggest fights in the World Boxing History and certainly the most expensive one. Pundits believe that this fight will prove who has been the best fighter of this era. 161
