Cindy Nguyen, a Partner Manager at Facebook for the SMB Team, and Yohny Chan, an Account Manager at Facebook held a training session focusing on how the platform is emerging as a digital marketing asset.
Organized by digital agency East River Pvt Ltd, the session was attended by a number of leading brands in the country. The session outlined how to best use Facebook as a business tool. Not only that, it underscored the need to know your way around digital.

Use messenger to follow up
Turns out Facebook messenger can be used for more than just chatting with your friends or receiving “Fraandship with me” messages from boys we don’t know.
Ask your in-house Facebook business manager to set up questionnaire for your product. Customers visiting the site will be asked a few questions to understand the insights of the target audience. In case they forget to answer a few questions, they will be notified by the messenger to follow-up on the questionnaire.
Utilize Dynamic Ads
Remember those ads you see of products you have only searched once? They might seem spooky, but Facebook algorithm helps filter out options according to your searches.
If you are new in the business and want to target a particular audience, Facebook has got you covered through its Dynamic Ads option.
All you have to do is upload your product catalogue and set your campaign once. Through this the right product will be shown to those who have expressed interest on your website, in your app or elsewhere on the Internet.
Add to your Stories
In case you didn’t know, Instagram Stories can be used to enhance your brand as well as uploading selfies and boomerang. We are not saying don’t do that. Of course, you have to post selfies for your Insta fam. But it has much more to offer than just that.
Facebook has launched real time images that can be used on video uploads, or live sessions on Instagram to engage more viewers. These images will make a mundane video look more fun. And who isn’t looking for a little more fun, anyway.
On a side note: the event was so formal that it could have given George Clooney a run for his money. Our team’s casual attire definitely turned some heads. Maybe Cindy could also make Pakistanis learn a thing or two from her boss Zuckerberg’s casualness. Just saying…
