7 Pre-Ramadan Preparations to Focus On

We as Muslims have been blessed with an entire month of extra credits. Call it a cheat code or a short cut; we have a whole month to reap extra rewards for every good deed we perform, every good thought we think, and every good word we say. It would be silly to let such an opportunity pass by, just because we were not prepared enough to deal with it.

The greater the adversaries, the greater the reward: this Ramadan is going to be sun clad as we know it, and it’s smart to be ready. So here are some Ramadan preparation tips for before it starts to adjust your body.

Get your deficiencies checked!

Get tests for your vitamins and hemoglobin levels. If you have any deficiencies you need to be wary of, now is the time to know it. Going 16 hours without any food or water can cause you to collapse if your minerals and vitamins are not in place.

Get your multi vitamins and start taking them

If you are a woman, chances are you lack blood and vitamin D. This is very common in Pakistani women, however, it does not make it okay. You need to start taking the required pills for any condition whether you are a man or a woman. Consult a doctor and ask him/her to prescribe you the medications important for you. Also find the foods that contain the mineral that you are missing, there is nothing better than the natural resources we are blessed with.

Start consuming water

Drink a glass of water every hour. I know it is a little inconvenient, but if you don’t it can have adverse affects later. Keep your body pre hydrated for a refreshed skin and to have your vitals on point when Ramadan hits. Keep a water bottle with you at all times and keep sipping all day. You will need it later.

Cut the junk foods!

Decrease the processed foods from your life. You don’t need that kind of negativity in your life right now. This junk takes a long time to exit your body and leaves behind toxins that ruin you. These toxins will not only affect your vitals but also your metabolism, and hence make you lazy. And Ramadan is NOT the time to be lazy, maybe later. So delete the junk!

Start your exercises

Exercising will shape up your metabolism and make you get rid of the poisons quickly. It would also help you get rid of the fats and you would also consume more water. Exercising beforehand would build your stamina to continue in Ramadan. It is very important to stay active during Ramadan as eating after long gaps can cause you to over eat, and make you lazy (also cause heart problems). Hence stay fit, active and start today!

Berries over burgers!

Summer comes with a variety of fruits, consume them! Falsay, mangoes, peaches, water melons should be your tea time snacks instead of samosas and namak paray. Vitamin E in fruits removes radicals from your blood that are poisonous. They also hydrate your body. Add yogurt to your fruit salad for calcium and cooling effects. It will not only be tasty but also have nutritional benefits.

Green tea

Green tea should be your after lunch and dinner supplement before Ramadan starts. It is loaded with polyphenols like flavonoids and catechins, powerful antioxidants which can reduce the formation of free radicals within the body. This further protects other cells from damage. Free radicals are considered as one of the biggest culprits for pre-mature aging and various diseases.

These tips are very important if taken seriously. The things mentioned above will cleanse your body of all the things you need to get rid of in order to face the tough Ramadan routine that’s coming our way. A cleansed body will give you a cleansed mind which will help you concentrate on your ibadah and work so your performance isn’t inhibited in any way.

May you all have a good Ramadan filled with blessing and good health, may we all have many more to see. Make the best of it.
