How To Fight Strawberry Legs?

The name ‘Strawberry Legs’ may sound cute but it can be quite annoying. Have you ever wondered what those tiny dark spots on your legs are?

Strawberry legs refer to the appearance of black spots that resemble strawberry seeds. It occurs due to the hair follicles or enlarged pores containing a trapped mixture of oil, dead skin, and bacteria. When the follicle of the clogged pore is exposed after shaving, and air reaches the oil inside, it oxidizes and turns dark.

What triggers ‘Strawberry Legs’?

Strawberry legs are caused due to:

  1. Overly dry skin
  2. Enlarged hair follicles can trap dirt and oil
  3. The skin on the legs can become clogged with bacteria, dead skin, and debris
  4. Razor burns can lead to strawberry legs and can also result in ingrown hair
  5. Genetic factors might cause strawberry legs
