Famous EOS Lip Balm Getting Sued

It would appear that EOS, everybody’s (Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Kim Kardashian, Christina Aguilara, Gwen Stefani, Demi Lovato and Britney Spears) most loved round lip balm is in a hot heated mess. A few clients are suing the brand since its equation is supposedly bringing on some really terrible responses, including “serious rashes, dying, rankling, splitting, and loss of pigmentation,” reported by some EOS users.

An EOS lip balm customer named Rachael Cronin documented a legal claim guaranteeing that after the first time she tried it on, EOS lip balm made her lips feel like “sandpaper.” Reapplying the product in attempt of trying to cure this brought about bleeding, blisters and rashes that stuck around for 10 days.

Dermatologist Joshua Zeichner, MD, says that in spite of the fact that he can’t remark on these particular cases, the rashes could be created by an unfavorably susceptible response.

“Red, irritated, or flaky skin might connote an unfavorably susceptible response to an individual consideration item,” he says. “In the event that you build up a rash, attempt to be an investigator to make sense of what might have activated it. Suspend the item and apply over-the-counter cortisone 1% balm twice every day for a couple of days. On the off chance that the rash is not enhancing, visit your dermatologist for conceivable sensitivity testing. Normal sensitivity triggers incorporate scents, colors, and additives.”

Clients have beforehand griped about rashes and mold on the item throughout the years, and it appears like that issue is as yet continuous.

Not long ago, one client composed under a photograph on the organization’s Facebook page: “I like EOS as much as the following young lady; however I find that they get rotten so I don’t purchase them any longer. I get lip balm products generally as useful for half of the value.

EOS was reached out and a company spokesperson responded:

“We firmly believe this lawsuit is without merit. Our products are made with the highest quality ingredients, and meet or exceed all safety and quality standards set out by our industry and validated by rigorous testing conducted by an independent lab. The health and well-being of our customers is our top priority and millions of satisfied customers use our products every day, many of whom take the time to share their experiences with us.”

Kim Kardashian, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus are among the celebs seen fancying EOS as spokespersons.

Considering all these cases, I think lips are a delicate and prominent part of us that should not be neglected with the use of such products. Such because some celebrities have chosen to make them seem magical doesn’t always mean they are truly that way with all.

However, if EOS could have some legal equity towards their product, it would be to change the label with a warning or specifically quote, ‘not to be used on sensitive lips’. But, aren’t these celebrities’ lips suppose to be like beautiful too? I leave that choice for you.
