Before the inception of this year’s edition of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL), a host of Pakistan players are up for grabs in the drafting of the prestigious T20 event.
Muhammad Asif and Salman Butt have also been included in the drafting picks. Both the players returned to competitive action after five years as they represented WAPDA in the domestic one-day international on January 10th.
Salman Butt has been in tremendous form as he finished the tournament as the highest run-scorer with 536 runs in seven matches.
Another surprise entry in the draft picks is the inclusion of retired Pakistani legendary off spin bowler Saqlain Mushtaq. The spin maestro is currently playing for Gemini Arabians in the Master Champions League and is looking forward to be contesting for a tournament victory in the Carribean Premier League. The 39-year old last represented Pakistan on the international stage in 2003.
