Did your table cover got a tad of nihari and a bit of tea stain from the dawat last night? No worries ladies! We’ve got some laundry tips to remove all those stains. As we care for your stuff, so there is no harsh chemical. Take these simple laundry tips.

1. Oil Stains

In a country where oily food is at the heart of its culture, these kinds of stains are almost inescapable. There is, however, an easy solution: cornstarch. Available at almost any grocery store, this powder is the key to removing oil stains. Spread a little cornstarch over the stain and leave it for half an hour, and the oil will be soaked up by the powder. Then, just brush it away, and you clothing will be stainless!

2. Grass Stains

One type of stain that many feel is impossible to remove is a grass stain. It can be a terrible nuisance when your child walks in after playing outside and there are ugly green and brown patches on his new pants. However, this kind of stain is not as difficult to remove as one thinks – simply use a toothbrush and plain white toothpaste. Put a little bit of toothpaste on the stain, then dip the toothbrush into clean water. Scrub the paste on the stain with the brush. When you feel the stain has more or less been removed, rinse the clothes and put them in the washing machine as usual. The mark should be gone.

3. Tea Stains

Tea can leave an ugly mark when spilt, but this too can be removed with a few steps. In this case, it is very concentrated sugar water that will do the trick. Pour some sugar in a glass of water, and keep stirring while you add the granules until no more will dissolve. Then dip the cloth with the stain in the solution, soaking it through. Keep it submerged for a few minutes, then remove it and wash it in the washing machine. When it comes out, the stain should be gone.

4. Collar Stains

Sometimes, collars of shirts tend to get a stain on them that does not go away with normal washing. However, you can simply use some shampoo to get rid of it. Apply the liquid on the collar and then rub it so the shampoo scrubs the stain thoroughly. Rinse the collar, then put in the washing machine, washing it as usual.

5. Ink Stains

If you have an ink stain on coloured clothes, one way to get rid of it is to soak the stained area in milk overnight, then wash it like normal in the machine in the morning. Another situation where ink needs to be removed is when it is still wet. In this case, pouring some salt on the mark and then dabbing it with a paper towel or tissue can do the trick. You may have to repeat the process several times until it is completely removed. Sometimes, rubbing toothpaste (not the gel kind) can also get rid of an ink stain, but this depends on the type of fabric and the ink itself.

So there you have it – easy ways to get rid of those marks you thought could not come out. Hopefully, with these methods you can save a lot of the clothes that you thought were marred
