As many as 55 more dengue cases have been detected in Sindh province in a week, out of which 51 were reported from Karachi, taking the patients toll 485 in the province since January.
As per weekly report issued by Dengue Prevention and Control Program (DPCP), Sindh, at least 55 new dengue cases surfaced in Sindh province towards the end of April, out of which 51 were reported from Karachi and one each from Thatta, Jamshoro, Tharparker and UmerKot.
At least 51 new dengue cases were reported in Karachi, out of which 14 were reported from District Central, 13 from District South,12 from District West, 09 from District East, two from District Malir and one from District Korangi.
This year a total 485 dengue fever cases had been reported in Sindh province since January, out of which 459 were detected from Karachi, five from Hyderabad, three from Sukkur, two each from Tando Muhammad Khan, Thatta, Jamshoro, Mirpurkhas and Naushero Feroz , one each from Tharparkar, UmerKot, Sanghar, Ghotki, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirbad, Larkana, and Shikarpur, respectively.
No death was reported from dengue fever this year so far.
