Ever since the insta-savvy Easy by fatsos started posting some drool-worthy photos of their new winter menu, we just knew that we had to go as soon as possible and try it.
Here’s what we ordered:
- The beef bowl
- Buffalo fries
- 3 doughnuts: Festive, Lotus and Crème Brulee
- Hot chocolate
- Pumpkin spice latte
Here’s what we thought:
The Beef Bowl
We were most excited to try this ‘dirty beef bowl’ and thankfully we were not disappointed. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a lovely sweet glaze that we just couldn’t get enough of. The red peppers were a welcome addition to the bowl and the egg was cooked perfectly. Moreover, the serving was quite generous. We’re going back for this one!

Buffalo Fries
Easy is ‘comfort food’; and potatoes (any style) are the epitome of the category. You.Can’t.Get.Them.Wrong! Yet, the fries were thin cut, sad looking and far from the comfort we were looking for. We really wanted you to get these right, Easy! Points for the cheese sauce though.

Doughnuts
We entered the eatery the minute it opened. The doughnuts followed shortly after- the freshest fresh. Of course, we had to get the two new additions: the festive and the lotus and one classic, crème brulee.
The festive and the lotus were good, the kind of good that we have now started associating with Easy by default. Nothing to write home about. I was kind of hoping there would be a lotus cream filled doughnut. *hint*
The crème brulee is a personal favorite but somehow, the custard filling wasn’t as smooth as it usually is and it was just a tad bland.
Price: PKR 250/240/220 for the festive, lotus and crème brulee, respectively
Hot Chocolate
Here’s what we got: Slightly grainy, chocolaty (we’ll give it that) and yes, topped with toasty marshmallow fluff. AND it’s so instagram photo worthy.
At PKR 500 a cup, we’d like it to be so smooth that we’d change our life to suit its mood. (Hurrah if you get the reference).
If you didn’t then, psst…Chocolate can make you smarter!
Pumpkin Spice Latte
I was determined not to fall for a fall cliché and ring praises about something that equates to a hipster ‘avocado toast’ situation. But damn me, for loving this cinnamon-y latte more than I care to admit. It’s goood.

Should you try the Decemberistan Menu?
We obviously did not get a chance to try the whole menu, which looks fantastic by the way. The bao burger has been pulling a little haunting stunt in our dreams- so we’ll try that too. Soon.
Otherwise, the beef bowl is a must try and the pumpkin spice latte is dreamy. If you prefer the regular fare at Easy, then stick to the safer options from the regular menu.
