Due to an acute lack of rainfall, Thar has been hit by severe famine-like conditions. According to reports from the Mithi Civil Hospital, at least 47 children have passed away in the span of 1 month. About 40 of these children were suffering from malnutrition. So far, there has been no sign of any government relief camps in the area. There is no way for the people of Thar to get food, water and other basic necessities.
