Medical Association organizes joint medical congress

A joint Pak-China Medical Congress (MED-CONG) is being organized by Pakistan Medical Association (PMA). PMA and the Chinese Medical Association (CMA) are initiating this as part of the Pak-China Medical Corridor, a vital element of the Pak-China Economic Corridor.

MED-CONG will feature scientific as well as business sessions. Chairman of the Scientific Programs of the conference Prof. M. Idrees Adhi will be overlooking the scientific sessions in which there will be eight parallel sessions that will be conducted by many organized medical specialties.

Many health experts – from China and other South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries – will deliver lectures on a variety of medical and scientific topics. Discussions and awareness programs will highlight major issues such as population control, maternal and child health, reproductive health, blindness, safe drinking water, addiction, sexually transmitted diseases, environment and human rights.

The conference will be held from 8th to 10th of January, while pre-conference workshops and seminars will be held at different medical institutions of Karachi from 25th December. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will be the chief guest at the main conference.
