America: First Ebola Patient Loses His Fight Against The Virus
42 year old Thomas Eric, who contracted the disease in Liberia, succumbed to the virus earlier this week. He was employed as a driver for a courier company. After testing positive for the disease on the 30th of September 2014, he was hospitalized in Texas. Doctors were treating him with experimental drugs in the hopes of finding a cure. He, however, was unable to overcome the fatal effects of the virus. The death toll of Ebola patients has increased to 3865, with most of the deceased hailing from Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone. The US government has installed additional screening measures at all American airports for the detection of Ebola symptoms in incoming travelers.
