THEY DO NOT SEEK ATTENTION

Craving for attention to feel worthy is a negative trait. People who beg for attention only feel worthy when someone else makes them feel it. It is as if they do not have an ounce of self-worth and are limited by other people’s opinion of them.

If you do not know you matter, then no one will ever believe you do.

THEY DO NOT LET OTHERS BRING THEM DOWN

It is easy to be brought down by other peoples’ criticism, especially if these people are close to you. It requires a very important trait to not let this get to you, and that is resilience.

This world is full of haters, and jealous people, and more often than not, people who try to bring you down are the ones closest to you. It is the best decision, and also undoubtedly one of the most difficult ones to remove these people from your life. If you manage to do so, consider one bridge burnt.

THEY FORGIVE, FORGET AND DO NOT HOLD GRUDGES

Holding grudges takes up a lot of your mental strength. If you find yourself holding a grudge against someone, know that you are already giving it more of your attention than it requires.

If the person who you think wronged you doesn’t apologize, simply block out that person or be indifferent towards them. The key is to not hold grudges. Let go.

THEY DO WHAT THEY WANT WITHOUT STOPPING

Emotionally strong people don’t stop doing their thing for someone. They do it with as much vigor and zeal as they did before. They don’t stop for anyone who deems their happiness inappropriate.

THEY DON’T DOUBT THEMSELVES

Emotionally strong people don’t stop believing in themselves. What does it take to get out of self-doubt? It’s love for oneself, confidence and understanding of oneself.

THEY MAKE SURE TO REFLECT ON THEIR PROGRESS

Everyone has a goal they work for, but not everyone asses their progress towards it. A mentally strong person makes sure to reflect on his work and to assess their performance. They take accountability for their mistakes and constantly strive for better.

These were just a few of the many things that show what mentally and emotionally stable and sound people do not do. While these traits make them wiser, they also majorly contribute to their every-day happiness and contentment.
