Half way through February and we could sense the heat in Karachi already. It was now time to pack away all the sweaters and take out the light summer clothes. Towards the end of February and beginning of the March it was evident that the summer stock is now in market. The billboards had models dressed in colorful summer colors.
On Saturday 27th February I was at Royal Rodale as I heard that some renowned designers were launching their new volume. I came across a relatively new lawn brand as Memonsons Apparel; and I’m glad I did. The exhibition had other brands with their respective products, however, this brand caught the eye of many people, and the response was healthy. The collection was inspired by ‘RANGON KI BAHAR’, vibrant designs and colors and floral extravaganza. The designs and colors were infused with pure vivid colors that go in accordance with this festive season. They had focused on quality embroidered lawn pieces, but under reasonable prices. The designs were such that they are designed for the woman of all ages.
The cloth was of good quality and there was a variety in casual and semi formal; as it had suits with chiffon duppattas as well as with lawn. There wasn’t any silk collection as seen in other high end brands; but this was a reasonable yet practical collection of clothes.
Considering the prices that lawn suits tend to have these days; this collection was a ray of hope, especially for students and working women who need a variety of clothes on a daily basis. The prices were reasonable and the quality was not compromised. Professional women, as well as home-makers living in a ‘budget’ can do well with these suits as they are the perfect amalgam of style and comfort.
Considering it is a startup, it had a nice range of designs to offer with vibrant colors. Surely a certain part of my summer wardrobe will be from this collection!
