High levels of contamination and a poor system of cleanliness and hygiene have rendered the filter plants ineffectual. Residents of Badin have no choice but to drink contaminated water while the management remains unconcerned about their plight. No efforts have been made to rectify this health hazard.
There are approximately 8 filter plants that are out of order, and have been for a long time. The water consumed by the citizens of Badin is almost 80% polluted, and undoubtedly is the cause of several health problems in the area. The citizens of the area have appealed to the government to fix the filter plants so that the citizens can get clean drinking water.
